Class of 2019
Tyler Goins is a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where he received his B.A. in Spanish with a minor in English. Tyler specializes in reading comprehension, grammar, and rhetoric, and at Berea, he tutored students in essay writing and language arts. He also has strong writing skills in research-based essays as well as in analytical and creative literary pieces.
As for academic achievements, Tyler was a Gilman Scholar, which allowed him to travel to Santiago, Chile during Fall 2018. He also received the Francis S Hutchins Creative Art Award, named after one of the Berea College’s presidents, and given to students for a creative piece for their choosing; his choice was poetry.
His hobbies include reading a lot and studying languages during his spare time to upkeep his language skills. He currently tutors for the ACT, SAT, and for CPS high school admissions.
