In Illinois, Chicago's Walter Payton College Prep is ranked by US News as tops in the state (and #4 nationally). Also in the top 100 nationally are Chicago selective enrollment high schools Northside, Jones, Whitney Young, and Lane Tech.
Stevenson High School in suburban Lincolnshire ranks as the top high school in the suburbs, and comes in the top 200 nationally.
