David Baker

The Youth Programs Manager oversees out-of-school time (after school and summer camp), teen mentoring and employment, family literacy, parent engagement and cultural dance.

 

My background includes several years of working in mentoring, leadership, diversity and inclusion, and curriculum development in both a community-based organization and high school setting. Recently I worked as the Volunteer & Faculty Manager at Inclusive Communities which is a nonprofit organization in Omaha, NE dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Prior to that I served as the Recruitment Strategist at TeamMates Mentoring and Program Director at Bellevue West High School for Color Guard in Nebraska. I moved to Chicago earlier this year. Me and my family have lived in Mongolia while I was school-aged so has experience with other cultures.
